San Antonio Bed and Breakfast
"Downtown, small town or no town"
San Antonio, Texas
No Town

In the beginning, there was La Estrellita Bed and
Breakfast, where innkeeper Belinda Harrison created
an authentic Texas alternative to the traditional bed
and breakfast experience.  Nestled on a working cattle
ranch just 30 minutes' drive from the San Antonio River
Walk,
La Estrellita's 220 acres of woods, open vistas,
breathtaking sunsets and beautiful nighttime stargazing
(the latter having inspired the name) has, over the
years, drawn visitors from throughout the United States,
and in some cases far beyond.

La Estrellita offers visitors to San Antonio and South
Texas an unusual combination of Alamo City
convenience and proximity, coupled with restful
seclusion in a genuine "back to nature" setting.
Following a peaceful night’s rest, a sumptuous country
breakfast in the Harrisons' spacious pine and cedar
ranch house completes the experience, and sends you
off recharged for whatever awaits you.  Visit
La
Estrellita's main web site, www.laestrellita.org for more
information or to reserve your stay with us.
Small Town

Building on the immediate success of La Estrellita,
Belinda's next vision was to create a second bed and
breakfast property that would enhance the natural charm
and coziness of a bed and breakfast stay, with the
relaxed atmosphere that only a small town can offer.  As
always, she was looking for something unusual, and she
found it in the old
Floresville Firehouse.  Constructed in
the early 1900's and situated just a block from
Courthouse Square and the historic Wilson County
Courthouse, this 5,000 square foot building offered
unique challenges and unique opportunities.
Belinda took on the challenges, creating the
"
Firehouse B & Bistro."  As the name implies, the
‘Bistro combines several complimentary uses
throughout this historic 5,000 square foot building.
There's a trendy coffee bar and seating area that's a
favorite of private party groups, a chic wine bistro and
outdoor patio, even a 1,500-square foot formal
chandeliered ballroom for weddings, anniversaries and
other large private gatherings.  And of course there
are also three beautifully furnished bed and breakfast
suites, each with their own subtle variation on the
firehouse theme.

Finally, as with
La Estrellita, the Firehouse B & Bistro
offers guests its own unique and relaxing environment,
and without sacrificing convenient proximity to San
Antonio just an easy 40-minute drive up the local
highway.  The Bistro gave Belinda a chance to develop
a "small town" bed and breakfast environment in one of
the region's largest, finest properties, and she took full
advantage of that opportunity.  We think you'll agree.

Downtown

Even as she was completing renovation of the
Floresville Firehouse into the
Bistro, then furnishing,
opening and promoting it to her first guests, Belinda
Harrison was already on the lookout for the last
piece of her personal bed and breakfast vision:  A
genuine downtown San Antonio bed and breakfast
offering optimal convenience and proximity to Alamo
City visitors, coupled with Belinda's own unique
tastes and decorating flair.  The search for the right
property took over five years, but she finally found
it, and created the
Ogden Cottage.

"Location, location, location" goes the real estate
saying, and
Ogden Cottage has it.  Perched
barely a mile north of the downtown business district, Ogden Cottage is close and convenient to San Antonio’s
famed attractions (including the newly opened beautiful "Museum Reach" expansion of the
River Walk" and
redeveloped
Pearl Brewery complex), and a short cab or horse-drawn carriage ride from the Alamo.  Nestled
between, yet away from, the  major North/South thoroughfares, Ogden Cottage is surprisingly quiet, yet offers
quick highway access to
Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the Japanese Tea Gardens and multiple San Antonio art
museums.

Inside Ogden, Belinda's well-known decorating eye takes a playful turn.  Bedrooms are plush, beautifully color-
coordinated and with the typical enveloping comfort of
La Estrellita and the Bistro.  Step out into the living and
dining room, however, and you'll find a retro 1960's décor that will tug at your memory of a time when life truly was
simpler.

But don't let that pang of nostalgia fool you.  Ogden Cottage offers you all of modern life's favorite amenities, from
a morning espresso, cappuccino or latte brewed on the authentic Italian coffeemaker on site, to satellite TV and
high-speed Internet for your convenience.  In the evening, relax out on the breezy back deck with a glass of wine,
take in the beauty of the nearby city lights, and plan your next day's activities in comfort and solitude.  Ogden
Cottage offers the best of downtown San Antonio bed and breakfast experiences.  Visit Ogden Cottage's main web
site at
